AutoWash-10K™
The AutoWash-10K is designed for the important task of washing microreactors between diversity chemistry steps. It has a capacity of 10,000 MicroKans or 5,000 MiniKans. The AutoWash-10K is PC-controlled for unattended operation with user-defined protocols that include:
- Up to four supply solvents from standard
20 liter containers
- Adjustable wash volume
- Adjustable agitation times
- Spin and/or dry cycles
- Timed vacuum dry cycles
- Choice of four different waste containers to allow separation
of chlorinated and non-chlorinated waste
- An unlimited number of wash sequence steps
Most standard labratory solvents (including Class 1B flammable solvents such as methanol and hexane) are approved for use in the unit. However, highly flammable liquids (i.e. Class IA flammable liquids such as ethyl ether) are not. The AutoWash has been constructed of materials chosen for their chemical resistance. The materials in liquid contact include:
- 316 stainless steel
- Viton (gasket on the tank)
- Teflon
- Polypropylene
- PVDF (Kynar)
- Kalrez (some seals)
Other features include a passive, discrete, pre-wash station, and a removable wash basket for easy transfer of washed microreactors.
